PHOENIX, Ariz. – ElevateEdAZ is proud to announce its expansion into the Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVSchools). As more high-wage, high-demand employers relocate to Arizona and Valley business owners look for ways to meet the growing workforce demand, ElevateEdAZ is focused on preparing students in the Greater Phoenix region for employment by aligning education to workforce learning pathways to serve the needs of Arizona’s leading industries.

“It’s our vision that every learner is empowered for a lifetime of success,” said Troy J. Bales, superintendent of PVSchools. “Preparing students for college and careers by building meaningful relationships with new partners provides more opportunities that enrich the lives of our diverse student population. We’re excited to partner with ElevateEdAZ to increase the number of students participating in our high-quality career technical education programs.”

Expanding ElevateEdAZ to PVSchools brings the number of participating schools to 10 throughout the Greater Phoenix region. It will impact over 20,000 students and teachers through access to work-based learning engagements, job shadows, internships, externships, mock interviews, and more.

“I am very excited about our new partnership with ElevateEdAZ. This will bring additional opportunities to the students at Paradise Valley High School and further improve the excellent CTE experience our students already enjoy,” said Ian Deonise, principal of Paradise Valley High School.

ElevateEdAZ is working with schools and school districts to:

  • Increase the number of students completing high-wage, high-demand career pathways through stronger pathway articulation and career awareness activities.
  • Increase attainment of industry-recognized credentials and early post-secondary credit by removing barriers to dual enrollment and incentivizing students and teachers for improved outcomes.
  • Provide more students with work-based learning experiences to apply academics through internships and job shadows.
  • Empower educators to reimagine classroom learning through Educator Externships where teachers learn skillsets industry leaders are seeking in job candidates and can access pathways and support systems to integrate these skills into their curriculum.

Adding PVSchools to the lineup supports those goals and will allow more students to access opportunities provided by ElevateEdAZ.

“We are pleased to partner with PVSchools to expand the reach of ElevateEdAZ and better prepare students for college and careers,” said Todd Sanders, president & CEO, Greater Phoenix Chamber. “Providing students exposure to different career pathways and opportunities to gain real-world training are essential for students striving to secure high-wage, high-demand careers.”
